Hi, I’m Ellen Hicks, and Tennessee has always been home for me. I grew up in Nashville and still live here today, which means I’ve had the chance to watch our state grow, change, and evolve into one of the most exciting places for real estate investment. From the heart of Music City to the quiet strength of smaller communities, Tennessee is full of opportunities, and as a Relationship Manager at Conventus, I get to help investors tap into them every day.
What excites me most is that Tennessee offers such a variety of markets, each with its own story. Nashville continues to lead the way with strong growth, fueled by new jobs and a steady stream of people moving in. Neighborhoods like East Nashville, The Nations, and Madison show how much potential there is for both flips and long-term rentals.
But Tennessee is more than just its capital. Chattanooga is quietly becoming a favorite for many investors thanks to revitalization projects and affordable entry points in places like North Shore and St. Elmo. Memphis, on the other hand, has long been known for strong rental cash flow, making areas like Cordova and Whitehaven appealing for investors who want reliable returns. Knoxville and Murfreesboro are also seeing incredible momentum; Knoxville is driven by the University and healthcare sectors, and Murfreesboro by suburban demand from families and commuters. And then there’s Clarksville, where military-backed stability provides consistent rental demand and resilience.
Being local, I understand what makes these markets tick, and I know how important it is to match financing with strategy. That’s where Conventus comes in.
