Position Description
Full-Time, Salaried, Performance-Based Bonus
Location: Remote
Salary Range: $35 – $45 / hour
As a Conventus Loan Closer (Temporary), you will successfully and smoothly be able to move a loan file from loan approval to funding in a timely, efficient and accurate fashion while providing the best customer service and acting as the last defense line for any/all possible risk. Due to the highly regulated nature of the mortgage business, the mortgage closer is responsible for all compliance documents in the loan closing file. An ideal candidate will be able to juggle numerous tasks, be detail oriented, and work well both independently and with a team a communicate well with third parties.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with loan processors and relationship manager from origination phase to the closing phase to ensure proper closing of each file transaction
- Maintain their pipeline of loans in the closing phase and all needs for each transaction to ensure that all dates are accurate
- Prepare, collect documentation, review loan packages for loan closings
- Enter data on loan closing documents in a timely manner to release loan documents to Escrow/Title for borrowers signing
- Order necessary documents and requirements for all loan files
- Must be detail oriented when reviewing all loan files especially closing packages and funding figures to ensure accuracy and correct figures for funding
- Confirm loan compliance with all state and federal regulations and policies, as well as investor/mortgage lending product and program guidelines
- Assure all information is correct and signed accurately in the closing documentation, third party orders, closing packages, and loan files
- Review all closing conditions are satisfied and executed according to closing instructions
- Prepare and execute the transfer of lender funds to Title for closing and disbursement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of work experience within the lending sector.
- Familiarity with loan closing and loan files a significant plus
