Position Description
Full-Time, Salaried, Performance-Based Bonus

Salary: starting at $140,000
Conventus is seeking an experienced Head of DSCR Lending, responsible for leading Conventus’ strategic growth in the Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) loan product line. You’ll design and scale an investor-centric credit product focused on rental property financing, overseeing everything from product design to partner engagement, underwriting policy, and operational execution.
This role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and works closely with Capital Markets, Credit, Operations, Product, and Technology teams.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the overall strategy for the DSCR product line, including market positioning, pricing, underwriting standards, and risk management.
- Product Management: Collaborate with capital markets, sales, ops, product, and technology, to refine/expand DSCR loan offerings, features, and processes.
- Sales Support & Enablement: Partner with Relationship Managers to provide training, deal structuring support, and borrower education to increase DSCR loan volume and quality.
- Revenue Growth: Identify channels to drive DSCR volume with experienced real estate investors, including both direct and wholesale channels, and drive significant lead growth and conversion rates throughout marketing and sales funnel.
- New Market Strategies: Develop GTM strategies for DSCR in new markets and recently opened markets.
- Loan Structuring & Pricing: Enhance the prescreening, structuring and pricing of DSCR loans to enhance conversion rates.
- Capital Markets Interface: Work closely with internal and external capital partners to ensure loan products meet requirements and demand.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the DSCR pipeline to ensure effective end-to-end loan origination and funding of DSCR loans and a best-in-class borrower experience.
- Policies, Procedures and Guidelines: Ensure all policies, procedures and guidelines specific to DSCR loans are maintained in line with industry standards and investor requirements.
- Performance Management: Monitor product fall out rates, and close times as well as portfolio performance and default rates to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of lending experience, especially in investment-property or DSCR/non-QM lending.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting DSCR rental loans and secondary market liquidity.
- Proven track record managing direct or correspondent DSCR channels.
- Collaborative, data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
