Position Description
Full-Time, Salaried, Performance-Based Bonus
Location: San Francisco, CA

Salary Range: $160K – $185K
Conventus is seeking an experienced VP, Growth Marketing to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full-funnel marketing engine—performance, lifecycle, content, brand, and partner marketing—to drive profitable loan origination growth. This leader builds and scales a data-driven, multichannel acquisition strategy that supports national expansion while enabling strong market-level performance for individual salespeople. They ensure that every marketing dollar contributes to CAC efficiency, funnel conversion improvement, and expansion of high-quality borrower relationships.
Responsibilities:
Performance Marketing
- Own paid acquisition strategies from ideation to managing the implementation (SEM, paid social, display, retargeting, aggregator/lead marketplaces, affiliate).
- Build performance models for each marketing channel and optimize to CAC, CPL, and conversion-to-funded loan.
- Design multichannel campaigns for national reach to drive market share growth in our markets, as well as for in-market salespeople in specific metro areas.
- Manage budget allocation across channels using ROI modeling, attribution, and real-time reporting.
- Run A/B and multivariate tests across creative, landing pages, and offers.
- Develop and optimize product- and geo-specific landing pages with strong conversion performance.
Lifecycle Marketing
- Build lifecycle programs that engage prospects and borrowers across the full journey.
- Architect automated nurture flows (email, SMS, in-platform messaging) for:
- New leads
- Existing, repeat clients
- Borrower reactivation
- Cross-sell
- Use segmentation based on geography, loan type, credit filters, property type, and past loan behaviors.
- Own Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud marketing strategy.
Marketing Content Development (Social Media, Website, Collateral)
- Thought leader with expertise in our core products and services and develop content concepts that are informational and relevant to our core clients.
- Build a content engine that drives credibility with real estate investors, developers, and other ecosystem professionals.
- Own a content calendar across channels (social, website, blog, events, etc.):
- Market insights and educational content;
- Product guides and lending playbooks;
- Case studies & customer success stories;
- New market launch marketing playbooks; and
- Enable Sales with pitch decks, product sheets, talking points, scripts, and local market content.
- Maintain consistent messaging, visual identity, and value propositions across all borrower and partner touchpoints.
Website and Digital Experience
- Own the company website as a core acquisition and conversion asset.
- Manage UX improvements, site architecture, and landing page performance.
- Optimize lead form to enhance lead quality
Data, Measurement and Attribution
- Work with RevOps to create dashboards for CAC, MQL to Funded conversion, channel ROI, and LTV.
- Implement multi-touch attribution and lead scoring models.
- Ensure marketing to sales to loan funding funnel visibility.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Growth
- Support partnership marketing with property managers, brokers, GCs, lenders, contractors, title, and other ecosystem players.
- Build co-marketing programs that support salespeople in local markets.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Build a high-performance team covering digital, content, lifecycle, and analytics.
- Lead regular funnel reviews to diagnose performance gaps and implement fixes.
- Partner closely with Sales, Capital Markets, Credit, and Operational leaders.
Responsible for Key Metrics
- CAC (by channel and product)
- MQL to funded conversion rate
- Borrower retention rate
- ROI by channel and campaign
- National and market-level origination growth for target markets
- Sales enablement effectiveness (content, tools, playbook)
Skills:
- Deep knowledge of GTM and sales analytics and reporting, including necessary tools and technology to enable success.
- Expert in Salesforce design, funnel analytics, forecasting, and GTM motion building.
- Highly analytical: can model conversion rates, capacity needs, margin impact.
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills; trusted partner to CRO, CEO, and entire Leadership Team.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
Qualifications:
- 7–12+ years in growth/performance marketing, ideally in fintech, lending, real estate, or financial services.
- Proven track record lowering CAC and increasing conversion rates in high-ticket or B2B2C environments.
- Deep experience with SEM, paid social, retargeting, and SEO.
- Strong understanding of borrower acquisition, partner/broker ecosystems, or complex financial products.
- Expertise in marketing automation, CRM, and analytics stacks.
- Strong analytical skills and experience owning a multi-million-dollar budget.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build cross-functional alignment.
