Full-Time, Salaried, Performance-Based Bonus

As an Finance team member at CHC, you will be at the center of our company’s daily lending activity as well as the effort to effectively manage the corporate finances and assist in developing the optimal corporate capital structure. We are searching for an experienced, reliable, task-oriented, and passionate professional who shares our company core values, that of outperformance, diligence, communication and delighting our customers. Our ideal candidate is capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.


  • Assist in maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

  • Oversee the accounting operations for both the Holding Company, Operating Company and Fund entities, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures

  • Assist in executing strategies to optimize the corporate capital structure

  • Lead and manage a direct report support staff (near-term 1-2)

  • Collaboration with Debt fund business effort



  • Record financial transactions (each Mortgage Loan) and complete the posting process

  • Reconcile 3rd party loan servicing statements 

  • Manage preparation of tax returns, including coordination with our third- party CPA firm

  • Oversee that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner

  • Oversee that accounts receivable are collected promptly

  • Administer the processing of payroll in a timely & accurate manner

  • Ensure bank reconciliations are completed

  • Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis

  • Maintain the chart of accounts

  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions



  • Issue timely and complete financial statements

    • Weekly projections

    • Monthly completed financials

  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations

  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics

  • Assist in the production of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

  • Provide for a system of management cost reports

  • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations 


  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants

  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings



·       Strong General Ledger experience

·       Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel 

·       5+ years of experience working within the accounting/reporting function of a financial services organization 

·       Preference given to candidates with Mortgage and/or Hedge Funds accounting experience
