POSITION

Full-Time, Salaried, Performance-Based Bonus

As Mortgage Underwriter, you will be the gatekeeper to our company’s success in executing upon our mission to our clients and investors.  We are searching for an ethical and highly detail-oriented, organized experienced mortgage underwriter professional with the desire to go the “extra mile” and grow with our company.  This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key member of our team that is critical to ensuring the integrity and thoroughness of our loan origination process during a pivotal stage of our company’s development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The underwriter will review the loan application and evaluate:

  • Underwrite the borrower’s income relative to financial obligations

  • Ensure adequacy of the credit quality and borrower qualifications

  • Document the sources of funds

  • Evaluate the security property

  • Ensure loan terms, LTV and ratios meet the program guidelines

  • Review application in LOS for accuracy

  • Approve loan in accordance with appropriate terms and conditions; provide a counter-offer if the term does not meet Conventus’ lending standards and guidelines; or deny the loan

  • Review and clears all conditions

  • Maintain current knowledge of all loan products and origination requirements

  • Ensure accuracy of loan disclosures and documentation

Education and Experience

·       4+ years of mortgage or lending underwriter experience

·       Experience with TRID

·       Strong understanding of mortgage process flow from processing to closing

·       Prior loan processing and underwriting experience preferred but not required

·       Bachelor’s degree

·       DE/LAPP certifications preferred

COMPENSATION

Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually (dependent upon experience)

Performance-based bonus
