Full-Time, Salaried, Performance-Based Bonus

As a Conventus Asset Management accountant, you will expand upon our ability to further grow our capital base and provide the liquidity necessary to execute upon our mission to our clients and investors.  We are searching for a detail-oriented, decisive, and passionate professional who shares our values and vision to build a world-class asset management business with a focus on fixed income investments.  This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key member of our growing team that is responsible for building an effective accounting foundation for our Asset Management business and thereby positioning it for long term success.



  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

  • Oversee the accounting operations for both the Asset Management business, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures

  • Effectively liaise with the 3rd party loan servicing effort

  • Collaboration with Operating company business effort



  • Ensure the timely and accurate recordation of the financial transactions within the Asset Management business (Management company, 3 separate Funds and subsidiary REIT)

  • A/P & A/R Review (Expense Controls)

  • Prepare Budgeting & Forecasting for the each Fund

  • Assist in management of liquidity & reporting

  • Manage investor communications (Monthly Updates)

  • Assist with Investor subscriptions and withdrawals

  • Manage Tax strategies

  • Manage preparation of tax returns and timely delivery of investor K-1s, including coordination with our third- party CPA firm

  • Perform monthly investor distributions and related fund administration

  • KPIs / Scorecard Owner

  • Financials Systems management

  • Reconcile 3rd party loan servicing statements

  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions


  • Oversee the issuance of timely and complete financial statements

    • Weekly projections

    • Monthly completed financials

  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of Fund operations

  • Construct and issue financial metrics

  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

  • Provide for a system of management cost reports

  • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations


  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with applicable debt covenants

  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
